1/3cupwhole milk or half & halfoptional
unsalted butter (high quality)
confectioners' sugar
cinnamon
maple syrup (warmed up on the stove or in the microwave)Canadian - bien sûr !
Instructions
In a medium to large bowl wide (low-sided) bowl, whisk together eggs, spices vanilla, and milk (if using).
Slice the brioche loaf into 1 inch thick pieces and dredge in the egg mixture, until both sides are completed coated. Don’t let it soak, as it will leave your bread too soggy.
Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over low-medium heat. Place dredged slices of bred and place in skillet for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Continue to add butter and oil to the skillet/pan as needed, as well as cinnamon to egg mixture if it appears to disappear.
Sprinkle finished slices with confectioners’ sugar and top with warm syrup.
