Painted a delightful fresh green hue, you will not walk past this corner brasserie and miss it. And you shouldn't! :) It offers fresh, delicious French food with superb service. Their water pitchers are full of whimsy as well.

A cook and baker's dream is to shop at E. Dehillerin. Knowing Julia Child and Ina Garten have shopped there as well, doesn't hurt. Oodles of cooper, skillets and all the tools you will want to bring home.

Eurostar, Gare du Nord, Paris
As both a Francophile and Anglophile, knowing how to easily travel between France and Britain is a must, and Eurostar is my transport of choice. Located at the Gare du Nord in the heart of Paris, these trains are on the second level (up the escalator).

Foire de Chatou (twice a year brocante/antique fair)
For one week twice a year (March and September), antique dealers from around France gather to sell their treasures. A must-visit. Food and drink is available and simply take the RER A to Chatou Croissy (from Charles de Gaulle-Etoile. Rueil-Malmaison)

Located on the edge of the 14th, so on the edge of the south of Paris, this temporary brocante (the dealers arrive in their vans every Saturday and Sunday and set up), opens at 7am and runs until 2pm. You will have to hunt, there are oodles of treasures.

A petite food market (with a few clothing and plant vendors as well), but a great one. Open Tue, Thur and Sat, and situated right on the corner in front of the best place to pick up a croissant or baguette- Isabelle's.
